Have treasured but aged Bibles to part with? We will hold a Bible Cremation and Prayer Service on Saturday, July 12, at 4:00 p.m., pending weather and fire safety conditions. Last year’s attempt at this had to be postponed due to a statewide burn ban, so we’re praying conditions will allow us to proceed this time. This is a time set aside to honor the Word of God by retiring worn or damaged Bibles through cremation, the appropriate and respectful method of disposal. A brief prayer service will accompany the cremation, and all are encouraged to attend. If you’re unable to be there in person, Bibles may be dropped off at the church office beginning now. We encourage everyone to take part in this meaningful practice.
