Special Congregational Meeting

A special congregational meeting will be held on April 27 after worship. This meeting is necessary due to a concern raised regarding the process by which the nominating committee was formed. The church constitution states that the congregation must elect the nominating committee. In the absence of a nominating committee prior to the annual meeting, the council had identified individuals to serve in this role, but as a concern was raised, a congregational meeting is necessary to ensure proper procedure is followed. The congregation will now vote on the formation of the nominating committee. The list of individuals previously identified by the council will be presented, and nominations can also be accepted from the floor at the meeting. This meeting will address only this matter. Notice is being provided more than three weeks in advance to allow for full participation. Further reminders will be included in upcoming bulletins and sent electronically.
